We bring to your attention an article by Maria Dinzeo of the Courthouse News Service regarding litigation by the Los Angeles County Assessor over the constitutionality of a statutory property tax exemption provided to the private developers of the Long Beach Courthouse. The exemption was proposed by the AOC, and the AOC has agreed to indemnify the developers from court funds should the exemption prove unconstitutional. Here is a link to the article.
