Meet This Year's Bike Recipients

We are very pleased to announce the 50 Bikes for 50 Kids 2019 bike recipients!

These students were nominated by community members based on their demonstration of the following character traits: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. A volunteer committee read and reviewed many, many nominations to select fifty local kids who will join volunteers on January 21, 2019 to build their very own brand-new bicycle.

Meet this year's bike recipients.

Where and When?

Role specific emails containing all the nitty, gritty details will be sent to volunteers next week, however, just in case you forgot to mark your calendar...50 Bikes for 50 Kids 2019 will be held at the Natomas Middle School on Monday, January 21, 2019. We look forward to seeing you!

Ready For A Little Wrench Practice?

Bike building trainings have been scheduled!

Bike building trainings are not mandatory, however, they are very helpful to volunteers interested in the basic mechanics of assembling a bicycle. Not everyone from the team needs to attend, just a representative is suggested; however, anyone who wants to attend is more than welcome.

Please RSVP to abbey@jibe.org for the training you plan to attend. Each training will last 75-90 minutes. Trainings will be held at the North Natomas Jibe office (1918 Del Paso Rd, Suite 100, Sacramento, CA 95834).

Tuesday, January 15th, 3 pm

Wednesday, January 16th, 5 pm

Thursday, January 17th, 6 pm
