Fourth of July Holiday Schedule

It's time for fireworks, BBQ's and celebrating our independence! In observance of Fourth of July:

  • Jibe Express will not run on Thursday, July 4. Service will resume its regular schedule Friday, July 5.
  • The Jibe office will be closed on Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5.

Should you need to head downtown, we recommend carpooling with a friend or coworker, or even riding the many Natomas trails and bike lanes.

If you haven't already, it's best to mark your calendar with the Jibe Express Holiday Schedule.

Garden Highway Levee Improvements

As most Natomas residents know, the Natomas Basin is one of the most at-risk areas in the nation for catastrophic flooding. That's why the Lower Natomas Basin Levee Improvement Project is underway.

Garden Highway is currently completely closed to traffic underneath the I-5 overpass during the nighttime hours of 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. On Monday, July 8, this closure will become a 24-hour full closure for a period of up to three weeks.

The on- and off-ramps at Garden Highway will remain open; however, the closure will limit access underneath I-5. Drivers who need to cross under the freeway are advised to use West El Camino Avenue or another route, and should be prepared for heavy traffic and delays on roadways throughout the area for the next several weeks.

The bike path along Garden Highway will remain open throughout this construction period and associated road closure.

Visit North Natomas Levee Project for road closure updates and alternate route maps for entering and exiting I-5 at Garden Highway.

New SacRT Service In North Natomas

SacRT is moving forward with improvements that reduce congestion and lead to economic growth. Almost every bus route has been adjusted to improve frequency, scheduling, and weekend service. SacRT is also raising the standards for safety and cleanliness with system-wide improvements while lowering fares.

We are excited to see an extension of Route 13 to El Centro Road on the west side of North Natomas. Additionally, there will be improved frequency on Route 11 with midday frequency every 45 minutes and peak-hour frequency every 30 minutes. Both routes will have weekend and holiday service.

Check out the new network launching on September 8, 2019.
