Traffic Alert - 10/21/19

An accident on I-5 SB and the Sacramento Republic FC's Block Party will impact this evening's commute. Riders should expect increased traffic and possible delays. There are no re-routes currently expected.

I-5 Accident at Richards Boulevard- 3pm update: One lane of southbound traffic and on- and off-ramps at Richards Boulevard remain closed. Caltrans and CHP have announced all lanes of southbound I-5 will be closed at the I-80 interchange at 8 p.m. for 3-4 hours.

Sacramento Repbulic FC's Block Party: Republic FC will be hosting a free "Indomitable Block Party" open to the public starting at 4 p.m. on Capitol Mall near Fourth Street in downtown Sacramento. Traffic will be closed on Capitol Mall between Third and Fifth streets through Monday evening. Fourth Street will be closed between L and N streets.
