We Can't Wait to Hear From You!

To ensure a diverse array of perspectives, Jibe and the City of Sacramento Office of Arts and Culture urge older adults from all North Natomas neighborhoods to share their anecdotes or stories with the Wisdom Travels project. Selected participants will be interviewed and photographed to create a series of public artworks which will be shared with the community.

An example of a recently accepted story is a submission from Laura W who shared a memory of her carefree days as a youth riding around on her bike and listening to her transistor radio, and how those fun rides have now morphed into bike adventures with her grandchildren.

Please submit a story today! We are accepting stories from now until February 28.

Even Better on Bikes

The second course offering of our Better on Bikes program for adults aged 50 + is now underway. Like the initial offering, 25 participants will receive bicycle education from an experienced cyclist, and training with a local fitness instructor. When Better on Bikes concludes, Jibe and its partner, AARP California, will have introduced or refreshed bicycling skills for a community of 50 cyclists (50 over 50!), giving them the confidence (and some fun swag) needed to hit the road.

Attention All North Natomas Business Owners!

If you are operating a business in North Natomas - restaurant, warehouse, office, retail space; gym, hotel, you name it - we want to meet you!

Jibe promotes the benefits of workplace adaptivity in ways that don't include driving a car: telecommuting, having a walking meeting, or biking to lunch.

Jibe has a variety of tailored programs, initiatives, and grant funding available to inspire and reward your customers and employees for traveling smarter.

Visit us online to learn more about our services to businesses.

Everybody Plays

Students from area schools had fun testing their senses with Jibe's Five Senses Bingo earlier this month, and are now embarking on new bingo games. While the rules are similar - players print out their bingo cards and follow the rules of play for a chance to win a prize pack - the specifics have changed. This time, students will document road signs or outdoor activities to draw a path to victory on their bingo cards. Participants can choose to play either bingo game, or both. Winners will be randomly selected from those that have submitted completed bingo cards. Prize winners will be notified on 3/10/2021. Good luck to all players!

Why Drive When You Can Ride?

Riding the bus for work, recreation, or errands provides a great opportunity to save money, reduce driving stress, and ease road congestion in your community. Sacramento Regional Transit currently operates three bus lines in North Natomas:

Bus 11: with routes to downtown Sacramento, Land Park, and City College

Bus 13: with routes to El Centro and Del Paso, to Butano and El Camino

Bus 113: with routes to Truxel and Gateway Park to Arden Del Paso

Choose to kick back with a book, look out the window, or browse your phone. Whatever you do we're sure you'll enjoy the ride!

Sac / Davis Film Fest Wraps!

The Sac / Davis film festival wrapped its 90 minute streaming film festival of short films showcasing bicycle stories from around the world. Jibe joined the fun, offering its Instagram followers giveaway packages that included tickets to the festival and yummy Fiesta Platters from Casa Ramos at the Promenade! Thanks to all who entered our giveaway and congrats to the lucky winners!
