All Things May Is Bike Month!

Have you been participating in all that Jibe has had to offer for Bike Month? We're more than halfway through our robust slate of activities, and it has been a blast so far! Here's our update on what's still to come as we continue to celebrate the joy of bicycling in North Natomas.

May Is Bike Month Resource Guide

Jibe mailed all residents of North Natomas our nifty 2021 Bike Resource Guide, jam-packed with information on bike repair, safe riding, charity rides, and local events and rides (complete with snack suggestions!). If you did not receive a guide, or would like an extra one mailed to your home, email info@jibe.org!

Enjoy the guide and the ride!

Student Challenge

For a chance to earn a fun prize pack featuring a t-shirt, kickball, drawstring bag, and misting water bottle, area students have been busy logging their bike trips and enjoying super fun activities. Here's what's at play throughout the May Is Bike Month Student Challenge:

  • Chill-dren's Treat Wednesdays: Every Wednesday this month, from 5 PM to 7 PM, Jibe is dishing out free desserts to students who are out biking. Find us next at Valley Oak Park on 5/26 with treats from Daisy's Dessert Truck.
  • Scavenger Hunt: Jibe hid letters all around North Natomas Regional Park, and the letters spell out a mystery word. Discover the word, gain a cool badge, and be entered to win our prize pack. Psst -- looking for clues in all the wrong places? We've got hints posted to our newsfeed!
  • Photo Contest: Students can show us how they celebrate May is Bike Month by uploading a photo of what they love most about biking or a fun family highlight from a recent ride together.

Bike & Seek Exploration Challenge!

Are you up for a challenge? Local adventurers wishing to explore North Natomas by bike can win weekly prizes just by riding to locations in which Jibe has hidden QR codes. Watch out -- some QR codes, once scanned, have tricky trivia questions that contain valuable bonus points.

Challenge your friends! Hop on any of our suggested bike routes or follow your own path to May Is Bike Month victory!

Brake Fast for Free Breakfast

At various spots around town, walkers and bikers have been enjoying Maestro Coffee and grab-and-go treats on us every Wednesday in May from 7 AM to 9 AM.

Find us next at Blackbird Park on 5/26!

Come On and Take A Jibe Ride

This Saturday, join Jibe on a 25 mile ride through Old Sacramento, Land Park, Curtis Park and other points of interest along the way. This is an intermediate level ride with speeds at about 12 miles per hour. Restrooms are along the route, and we will provide a light picnic brunch. No RSVP needed, but helmets and signed waivers will be required to ride with our group.

Check-in at the Jibe office at 1918 Del Paso Rd, Suite 100 at 8:45 AM sharp this Saturday 5/22!

NEW Bike Jersey

For a mere $35, Jibe's limited edition jersey is the best way to show off your North Natomas pride and penchant for good vibes!

Sizes are limited. Order early for best selection. While supplies last.

Car Free Saturdays!

Jibe's very popular Car Free Saturdays program is geared up for Bike Month!

All month long, diners that bike, walk, or utilize any non-motorized transportation get a $15 gift card at participating North Natomas restaurants. To participate, simply bike or walk to any of our participating restaurants and order some yummy food. After you tell your server or cashier that you biked or walked, they will provide the $15 gift card with your check.

Join us at all of our partner restaurants, preferably without your car!
