Experience Wisdom Travels!

Jibe and the City of Sacramento's Office of Arts and Culture are proud to present Wisdom Travels. This online and public art project features nine personal narratives about active transportation as shared by North Natomas older adults aged 50+.

Check out the pole banners on display along N Park Drive and Natomas Central Drive, view participants' portaits and click through to their poignant stories on our website, and sign up for Wisdom Travels updates to find out about the exhibit at the North Natomas Library which is coming up in August.

Jibe To School Returns

Jibe to School is back in person! That means charm collecting, daily trip scanning, Walking School Buses, Boot Bucks stores opening -- yep, the whole shebang! Additionally, we'll be rolling out a new winter slate of activities alongside old favorites like Walktober and May is Bike Month. Whether you are new to this program or excited for its return, you can find your school and connect with your school's Parent Champion to get your Trip Scanner card and start earning rewards.

Parents may also find their Parent Champion at school! You can't miss them: they're the helpers at the main entrance sporting the cool orange aprons.

NP3 Jibes to School

Natomas Pacific Pathways Prep (or, NP3) has joined 8 other area schools in offering the Jibe to School Program to students.

NP3's Meet the Teachers Day will take place on July 30 from 10 AM to noon. As part of the festivities, families will have the opportunity to test out their commute to school by joining one of two Walking School Bus groups that will be walking to school together each day:

  • Leaving from Swainson Park by 9:45 am to be at the school at 10AM.
  • Leaving from the AIM Mail Center 10:45 AM for an 11 AM school arrival.

We will raffle off exclusive prizes at each Walking School Bus location, so don't miss out!

Can't attend Meet the Teachers Day on July 30? Parents of children attending NP3 are invited to contact NP3's Parent Champion Christy Lewis at np3w2s@jibe.org about participating in fun Jibe to School programming throughout the year.

And don't forget, school starts August 2!

It's New Helmet Time

Mark your calendars! Jibe is holding a low cost helmet sale on Saturday, August 7 at the North Natomas Farmer's Market, 8 AM to noon, 2501 New Market Drive.

Brand new, certified helmets for adults and children will sell for $5 each. Hope to see you there!

Bike Tech at Inderkum High School

Inderkum High School students seeking a hands-on bike mechanic experience in which they can participate in weekly rides in the community, and learn about the wide range of opportunities within the bike industry should look no further than Bike Tech. The class teaches bicycle assembly and repair, fosters safe cycling habits, and underscores bicycling's contribution to sustainable transportation. Bike Tech meets the high school technology requirement for Natomas Unified School District and G elective requirement for University of California admissions.

Jibe-sponsored Bike Tech helps today's students connect to future possibilities and employment pathways. Speak to your counselor about Bike Tech placement today.
