May is Bike Month Roundup
Hope you had as much fun as we did celebrating May Is Bike Month this year. Here's what we've done so far.
| Schools Bike Challenge: 2,500 students wheeled their way into May by participating in our Bike Challenge. All bike, scooter, and skateboard riders received a custom button. Highest participating grades scored pizza parties at school! |

Kids Bike Party: More than 150 kids and their families joined Jibe's kickoff event boasting:
* a 4-mile family-friendly bike ride
* bike games
* blender bike smoothies
* Freedom from Training Wheels (balance instruction for pre-k riders)
* low cost helmet sale
* PIZZA
* beats by DJ Eve

| Cycling Buddy Meet and Greet: Almost 20 cyclists came out to Track 7 Brewing to mix and mingle with potential cycling buddies. We'll be hosting two more meetups this year, so keep your eyes peeled for future announcements. |

Bike Event at Park Place Shopping Center: Participants got ready to ride this summer by utilizing free bike repair, Freedom From Training Wheels sessions, and a low cost helmet sale in a central location for our community. |

Team Good Jibes rode in charity ride Bike Around the Buttes, with all proceeds going towards diabetes management and education. Be on the lookout for two other charity rides this year. Jibe also led a 25-mile group ride to West Sacramento in which breakfast was provided. |
| May Is Bike Month Resource Guide: More than 30,000 of our brand new bike resource guides were mailed to residents of North Natomas. This guide contains information on riding safely, community events, how to select the best bike, and tons more. If you did not receive a guide, or would like an extra one mailed to your home, email info@jibe.org! |

Chamber Breakfast: Members of the North Natomas Chamber of Commerce enjoyed breakfast while they brainstormed ways to work with Jibe on reducing single occupancy car trips and building bike-friendly businesses. |

Not Over Yet
| Trip Logging: Participate in the region's trip logging effort. You can log solo miles, create a team, or join ours! Log at least one ride on our team page to win a tote bag, socks, and sticker (while supplies last). |

Bike Doc: Bike Doc will be offering free bike repair May 28th at the North Natomas Farmers Market from 8 AM to noon. Use our reservation system to guarantee a spot, or feel free to drop in on a first come, first served basis. |
| Saddle Up Saturdays: The final Saddle Up Saturday is May 28. To ensure that all participants receive their rewards on time, the deadline for submitting entrees is 5 PM on 5/31. |

We're A Bicycle Friendly Business!
 To cap off a stellar Bike Month, Jibe was recognized as a Bicycle Friendly Business by the League of American Bicyclists, and lauded as one of nearly 1,500 organizations who are helping to build a Bicycle Friendly America. According to the League's executive director, Bill Nesper, "when more people are on bikes, life is better for everyone," and an organization like Jibe "that makes it possible for more people to safely and easily choose to bike whether for transportation or just for fun is improving their community, making their destination more appealing for customers and employees alike, and bringing people together."
