Maestro, It’s Your Last Month of Rewards Hand-knit scarves, steamy cups of coffee, and good old-fashioned freebies – all of them can warm you up this November, and the NNTMA is happy to announce the last two are made possible just by being a Flyer rider. Whether your cup of tea is a cup of hot chocolate or an Americano, Maestro’s Coffee is our flyer reward partner this month. Together, we are saying “thank you” to riders with a complimentary medium-sized drink of your choosing from the local coffee shop. November is quickly coming to a close so make sure to redeem your reward before the 30th or sign up now to become a Flyer Rewards recipient. This is the last month of flyer rewards, too, so don’t be left out in the cold! |

Teaming Up to Build a Better Future How’s this for a New Year’s Resolution? Help a child better their lives and community at the same time by volunteering on January 21st, also known as Martin Luther King Jr. Day and the National Day of Service. On this day, local community volunteers and businesses will join forces in North Natomas to help 50 kids build their very own bicycles.
“50 Bikes for 50 Kids” is a community-based event that matches 50 well-deserving youth with teams of volunteers to assemble a bike for each child on the team. These “volunteer engineers” hail from local community organizations and businesses, and range from bike enthusiasts to mechanical novices. United, the community will give neighborhood kids a gift that encourages both sustainable transportation and a better future – for the bike recipients and the community as a whole. We encourage you to participate as a volunteer, for as little as two hours or all day. We want and need your help! To join the fun as a volunteer or a business sponsor, contact Abbey Harding at abbey@nntma.org or call 916.419.9955.Volunteers can register at nntma.org. |

Bike Doc Cruises Through 2012 You name it, the Bike Doc has fixed it. From road bikes, cruisers and BMX bikes, to adult trikes, and tandems, the Boke Doc mechanics have adjusted brakes and chains, removed training wheels and completed bike fittings, helmet fittings, and saddle fittings for the residents of North Natomas. In total, the Bike Doc serviced over 600 bikes in 2012 and plans to repair even more in the coming year. Look for us at the library, apartment complexes and other locations around town in 2013! |

Save a Seat for Your Friend in 2013 Make 2013 the year you help your friends get where they are going – by giving them the gift of two tickets for the Flyer. Help them save gas, money and the stress of morning gridlock! Starting January 1st, you can send tickets to a friend just by filling out a form online at nntma.org. We do the rest of the legwork by sending the tickets to your pal directly, and then enter you into a drawing to win a prize! Contact Sarah at sarah@nntma.org for more details. |

Shuttle Drivers are Super Heroes at the Wheel They get us from Point A to Point B safely… and they do it with a smile. They are our Flyer drivers and we are looking for your positive feedback detailing any outstanding experiences you’ve had during your time on the shuttle. Our drivers are given credit for good commendations from our riders so any kind words you have about their skills, customer service or kindness is appreciated! |
