Time on Rebates is Running Out

The countdown is on for our Bike Rebate program so carpe diem! A cool new fixie or cargo bike could be yours at a fraction of the cost if you qualify for one of our 2013 rebates. Approved applicants receive up to 40 percent off a new bike or accessory, which can mean up to $250 towards a bicycle or $50 towards a bike accessory. Applications are available now on our website and will continue through the program deadline of April 30th. The program is first-come, first-served so do not delay. Please go here for complete details.

Become a Cycling Sage!

Need to tune up your cycling skills or qualify for one of our bike rebates? Check out our last Cycling Clinics on Thursday, April 18th or Tuesday, May 21st. The clinics are designed to refresh you on the rules of the road and will answer any questions you may have about negotiating traffic, right of way and much more. During the clinics, you’ll learn how to be safe and seen while on your trusty steed, and you’ll learn the quintessential skill of changing a tire!

Class is held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the North Natomas Library, so mark your calendar and bring a friend! No reservations are needed. For more information, email sarah@nntma.org.

Camp, Bike and Be Treated Like a Rock Star!

Get ready to rock and roll, literally, on a three-day camp and cycle adventure on the Emigrant Trails Bike Trek in South Lake Tahoe’s Camp Richardson.  On September 6, 7 and 8th bike trek participants can expect stunning scenery, catered meals, on-road support teams and themed stops every 15-20 miles of the journey.

Don’t want to go it solo? The NNTMA’s Natomas Flyers cycling group will be sponsoring a team again this year and will provide jerseys (and a posse of new friends) for everyone who signs up! The event raises money to fight against teen smoking, asthma and dirty air, and costs $35 and $450 in fundraised amounts per person.

Register online with our team here.
