Catch a Neighborhood Ride Before They’re All Gone

If breeze on your face and endorphins in your blood sounds like your kind of fun, then join us on our last Neighborhood Rides of the season. It's not too late to meet new friends and torch a few hundred calories before it gets chilly. Check out our last two rides below and meet us before 8:30 a.m. at the NNTMA office located at 1960 Del Paso Road. Helmet, spare bike tube and water are required and cash is recommended for treats along the journey.

Shuttle Holiday

This is just a reminder that both our office and the shuttle will be closed September 2nd, Monday in observance of the holiday. Please share the ride if you need to drive.

Flyer Rewards Are Here!

While our shuttle is a literal "pick-me-up," the NNTMA’s Flyer Rewards program offers another kind of pick-me-up : fun, free stuff just for riding! Starting in September, Flyer commuters can earn freebies on things they already love, like saving gas money and not driving in rush hour. Like last year, the promo runs from September through November and all you have to do is sign up online to reap your rewards. Thanks to our community partners Yogurt Garden, Maestro Coffee House and Bella Bru!

Pics & People Just #goTOGETHER

Do you love *not* taking the car to get around town? Do you walk, ride, skate or scoot with neighbors, friends and kids? If you answered "yes," than grab your smart phone or camera and start snapping! We want your pics and video footage for our inspiring #goTOGETHER series – video shorts designed to show North Natomas and the region just how awesome using active transportation can be. Check out the series on our website, Facebook and Twitter pages and send your shots and clips to Abbey@nntma.org to be a part of the story.

Before There Were "Like" Buttons…

The fall school season (aka social training ground) is in effect and so is Walk to School. Please drive slow and use extra caution on your neighborhood surface streets, and be sure to look for kids on foot and bike.  If you catch a glimpse of us or our new banners, "Walk to School – The Original Social Network," feel free to join the crowd or give us a real-live thumbs up!

Last Chance to Join the 3-day Trek!

The highly anticipated Emigrant Trails Bike Trek, in South Lake Tahoe, is finally here! On September 6, 7 and 8th participants will bike through Tahoe and set up fort at Camp Richardson, enjoying stunning scenery, catered meals, on-road support teams and themed stops every 15-20 miles of the journey.

If you want to be a part of the outdoor extravaganza, it’s not too late! Sign up with the NNTMA’s Natomas Flyers cycling group as we are sponsoring a team again this year. Jerseys (and a posse of new friends) are included! Still on the fence? This event raises money to fight against teen smoking, asthma and dirty air.  The event costs $35 (and $450 in fundraised amounts) per person and you can register online with our team.
