Join this epic ride...AGAIN!

50 Bikes for 50 Kids 2013 was a wonderful success due to the 200+ volunteers that took time out of their busy day to give back to this community.  As we gear up for the 2014 event, we would like to invite past volunteers to again join us to help local youth build bicycles.  Due to the limited number of volunteer spots, we would like to offer the opportunity to past volunteers first, before we do a public call for volunteers.

We hope you will join us on Monday, January 20, 2014 for the 2nd annual 50 Bikes for 50 Kids event!  Volunteers can register online at NNTMA.org/50Bikes.

New for 2014

There are some exciting changes for 50 Bikes for 50 Kids 2014 we would like to share with you.

  • During the summer, several volunteers from 2013's event came together to form a steering committee to review ways to make 2014's event even better.  After careful review, we have decided to adjust the bike building process away from the "assembly-line style" and will now have bike building teams remain at one station for the entire building process.
  • You can now follow the 50 Bikes for 50 Kids planning process via #50Bikes2014.  Stay tuned for sponsorship updates, behind the scenes planning, exciting moments, and fun pictures as we get ready for January 20, 2014.  This is also your opportunity to share your own experience with others through photos, tweets, and videos on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and beyond - you name it we want to see it!

A Look Back

Take a look at the volunteers who donated their time, the exceptional youth that earned a bicycle, and the community that came together on this amazing day in last January.  Thanks to Trapeze Ltd, who graciously volunteered and filmed this video documenting the event.  We would also like to thank our volunteer photographers who spent the day snapping away.  Photos can be viewed on Flickr and Shutterfly.
