Drum roll please... Bike Rebates are back!

Guess what’s making a return debut this February? Our beloved Bike Rebate Program! It’s true, the bike rebate program is back and means that deserving Natomas Residents can earn big refunds on new bikes and bike accessories when they purchase from local bike shops here in town. Rebates are given on a first-come, first-serve basis and are based on merit so go to our Facebook, twitter and website pages starting on February 1 for details, applications and instructions. Have questions? Contact Ryan at ryan@nntma.org.

Grab the backpacks and step into 2014 on the right foot

Winter may be here, but don’t let that deter you from perfectly pleasant morning walks to school.  Start your day off with a morning commute you’ll actually enjoy!   The North Natomas TMA is proud to sponsor walk to school programs at local North Natomas elementary schools.   Consider joining a Walking School Bus with your child or start your own with other parents in your neighborhood.

NNTMA’s walk to school program provides incentive to students who commute to school by the power of their own two feet.  Through participation, lower grade students earn a new charm each week to add to their punch card, while upper grade students earn prizes in the Trip Scanner program.  Of course, the greatest incentive is to socialize with your friends and family during the commute.

Walk to School Days by school:

Walking School Bus meets from 7:25 AM to 7:35 AM at Kokomo Park

Walking School Bus meets at the Aim Mail Center at Del Paso Rd. and El Centro Blvd. and leaves by 8:00 AM

Walking School Bus meets from 7:10 AM to 7:20 AM near the corner of Stemmler and Arena

Walking School Bus meets from 7:40 AM to 7:50 AM at Burberry Park

New year, new faces!

A new year for us coincides with some new faces on the Flyer. You probably noticed that we had some drivers in training and we thank you for your patience and kindness as they got up to speed. These trainees were not future Flyer drivers, but those learning the bus driving ropes. Feel free to send feedback or questions to Ryan at ryan@nntma.org.

Holiday observed for National Day of Service

The shuttles and our office were closed in honor of MLK Day/National Day of Service, but our staff was working hard tightening bolts and righting wheels at the 2nd Annual 50 Bikes for 50 Kids event at Natomas Middle School. This event brought awesome community volunteers together with 50 well-deserving youth to transform bike parts into 50 ready-to-ride bicycles. Thank you to everyone involved!
