Why I Ride – Real People Share Real Success Stories

We’ve been touting the bounty of benefits from using smart transportation like our Flyer Shuttle for many years now. We’ve decided that it’s time for real people in our community to share why they leave the car at home.

We start off the series with our friend and resident, Christopher Rhodes, who says: In addition to reducing his stress levels, the Flyer also gives him more opportunity to exercise. Find more (and the extraordinary miles he walks each week) by reading his story on our website.

Share your story! Post to our Facebook page, or tweet at us @ShuttleUpNNTMA.

Journey by Bike to Natomas at Nite

'Tis the season for outdoor movie nights and our community is doing it right this summer with Natomas at Nite at North Natomas Regional Park. Be sure to hop on your bike and arrive in style!

1. Ride your bike with all the whistles, bells and lights and leave it with the bike valet.
2. Bring your blanket and enjoy free popcorn as you enjoy the flick.
3. Mark your calendar! Only two dates left: Surf’s Up on 7/25 + Frozen on 8/29.

Thanks to Mayor Pro Tem Angelique Ashby for sponsoring these fun evenings.

Biking, Tahoe, BBQ, and You!

Our Natomas Flyers team is still recruiting camp-mates to join them on the Emigrant Trails Bike Trek September 5th - 7th. If you’re wobbling between yes and maybe, did we already mention that the three-day ride comes with catered meals, live entertainment and themed bike rests along the way? Come make new friends and breathe in the fresh mountain Lake Tahoe air.

Look for our team name (Natomas Flyers) when you register. If you have any questions, please contact Abbey.

Let's Try This Again

Downtown construction due to the new arena is ever-changing and so dates are subject to change at any time. We will continue to relay construction information as it becomes available, however much it may change after we release updates.

The stop at 9th & L St will be closed for remodel tentatively starting July 23rd. We suggest riders use the J & 11th, 9th & N, or L & 14th stops during this closure. Please connect with us on Twitter to stay in the loop.

Just Because it's Hot...

It’s been a scorching summer so far, and though high temperatures can contribute to an unhealthy air quality, that isn’t the only factor that triggers a Spare the Air Day. Spare the Air Days are announced when the AQI  for ground-level ozone pollution is forecast to reach 127 or above.

Sign up for Spare the Air Alerts and ride the Flyer for free when a Spare the Air day is announced.
