Bike Doc - It’s Baaaaack!

It’s been awhile since our beloved Bike Doc has made the rounds, doing what it does best: fixing our favorite form of transportation - bicycles! This fall, we have two events on the calendar where Bike Doc will make handy appearances. So, if your tandem or cruiser needs a flat fixed, brakes bettered or any minor adjustment, bring it to one of the two events below. Remember, it’s one bike per person and first come, first served.

Sunday, October 18th at the Creekside Fair at Kokomo Park, 1- 4pm

Tuesday, October 20th at Natomas Park Elementary, 3 - 6pm
(Helmets will be for sale for $5 at this event.)

New Flyer Schedules

Effective January 3rd, some Flyer schedules will be changing to reflect more accurate times. Keep in mind, no Flyer routes will change, only the schedules to better reflect the actual arrival times. You can check your route here.

Give a Kid the Gift That Keeps Giving- #50Bikes2016

Make an impact on your community and in the lives of kids who are, in their own right, making our city and neighborhoods inspired. 50 Bikes for 50 Kids is a program that does just this. It brings together students, families, businesses and residents in a bike-building event that awards 50 new bicycles to 50 well-deserving North Natomas youth. Martin Luther King Jr. Day falls on January 18th in 2016, and this national holiday is also a recognized Day of Service, which is why we hold this volunteer event on this day each year.

Do you want to be a part of something amazing? Do you want to feel the joy of helping someone else? Do you want to meet new people in your community? If the answer to any of these questions is “yes,” get involved by volunteering your time, sponsoring a bike or nominating a well-deserving child to be a bike recipient. Help us build a better future!

Go here for all of the information or call us directly at 419-9955.

We Brake for Maestro Cafe

Feeling a bit sluggish? Maybe your motor’s just not revving? This month, Flyer riders get a free cup of fresh gourmet coffee from our Flyer rewards partner, Maestro Cafe as a pick-me-up treat. Just sign up for our Flyer Rewards program online, and be treated to some hot java in October. It’s just a small way we say “thank you” for riding with us and being a part of the solution.

Get Your Walktober Wiggles Out

Pumpkins everywhere are turning into jack o'lanterns and the kids of North Natomas are turning into planet-saving heroes; yes it’s Walktober! During the month, participating North Natomas schools and students will walk, bike, skate or scoot to and from school during the month of October to reduce traffic, reduce air pollution, improve health and increase their own ability to stay focused throughout the day. The students log their trips to earn prizes at the end of the month.

Go here for the list of participating schools and encourage your little one to get involved!
