A New Trail Party! You’re invited!

Strap on your sneakers, grab your family and friends, and let's hit the trail!

The NNTMA is excited to present an open trail event on Sunday, May 1st from 2-4pm.

The Know Your Spine Trail Celebration is pedestrian-cycling-scooting-family-dog friendly! This is an open trail event, meaning you can hop on and off anywhere you'd like, perhaps even right at the end of your street. All ages are welcome and encouraged to explore this newly completed 4-mile trail that runs north-south from Elkhorn Boulevard to Airport Road.

Hosted stations will be set up along the trail with music, prizes and refreshments.

The completion of this trail has been several years in the making. Celebrating this community asset with friends, family and neighbors is sure to be a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

2016 Shuttle Changes To Remain In Effect

After much consideration was given to rider suggestions last fall, earlier this year we instituted adjustments to the Flyer Shuttle schedule to improve not only time accuracy but increase route options. For the past three months, we’ve monitored ridership and construction projects along the routes, and received feedback from drivers and you, our riders. After taking all factors into consideration, we have decided to remain with the adjustments that were instituted in January.

Riders can review routes and times online here and track their shuttles here

Have Wrench, Will Travel

Yup, it’s spring weather and you shouldn’t spend another second of it watching Netflix. Luckily, Bike Doc is back so you can get your ride in tip top shape!

Never heard of Bike Doc? It’s a mobile, free, pop-up bike repair station armed with experts to help you adjust, fix, inflate, change, tune-up and grease your trusty ride. Please, only bring one bike per person and remember that bikes are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Mark Your Calendar For 2016's Neighborhood Rides

Ease into a Sacramento summer with a Neighborhood Ride to East Sac on Saturday, June 11th. We’ll start at the NNTMA office, leaving at 8:30 a.m., then ride to the tree-lined Fabulous 40's neighborhood. After we “ooh” and “ahh” over the architecture, we’ll pedal around Sac State and head for home.

Remember, these rides are completely free and you don’t have to RSVP. Just show up at our office before 8:30 a.m. with your bike, helmet, water and spare tube. The rides are friendly to all levels of experience, but do make sure your kids are up for a 20+ mile challenge.

Check out the full Neighborhood Ride schedule here.

No Bike Rack?!?

Need one? Speak up! The Sacramento Bicycle Master Plan team is working to create an inventory of existing bicycling parking, and identify where residents would like to see other bicycle parking facilities.

Get involved by loading the Bicycling Parking Needs Assessment Tool on your mobile smart device or computer and follow the on-screen instructions.
