Meet Leah

We are so pleased to welcome Leah Barrett to the NNTMA team in the role of Program Assistant. A transplant from Newton, Connecticut, Leah’s a wellspring of positive energy, and is already tackling her new position. A little bit more about Leah: she graduated from Tulane in New Orleans and says she already adores the California way of life. She’s also a woman of many talents and hobbies, namely singing, dancing and acting -- and on the fitness side -- swimming, running and biking. She’s front and center in our office so please give her a welcoming “hello” when you see her!

Regional Transit Fare Increase

If you have heard the rumors or read the facts, yes, RT fare will be increasing on July 1st of this year. However, Flyer Shuttle tickets will NOT be increasing at that time. If you have any questions, please contact the office at 419-9955 or info@nntma.org

MiBM is for Kids, Too!

Students, parents, faculty and staff get excited about May is Bike Month because of the quality time spent together, the reducion of smog, and of course...bringing home some glory! Our North Natomas schools have a lot of proven pedaling power and consistently rank in the top of the region for miles ridden in May.

Remember, it’s not just about riding to and from school, although that is encouraged and an excellent way to stack up the number of logged trips. It’s also about recreation! North Natomas is home to a bushel of parks and trails, including the brand new Spine Trail (which still needs an official name).

Need tips on riding with young ones in tow? Check out this blog and remember to always give yourself extra time and to enjoy the journey as much as the destination!

Spine Trail Party: Movers, Shakers and Furry Friends

Over 200 of our friends and neighbors from North Natomas and other parts of Sacramento attended the Know Your Spine Trail Event on May 1st. Everyone got their wiggles out in every way possible: walking, scooting, biking, and tail wagging -- and it couldn’t have been possible without our wonderful booth sponsors!

A huge “Thank You!” goes out to:

Go Anywhere With Your Bike With This goTOGETHER Video: How to Use the Shuttle Bike Rack

Is your desire to ride to far off destinations eclipsed by just how far off those destinations are? In other words, is your end point too far away, either time or distance-wise, for biking the whole way? We have a solution! Take the Flyer Shuttle and your bike. Don’t be scared, this video will show you exactly how to mount your bike on the Flyer's fold down bike rack. Take a look and you’ll be a pro!
