Another Successful 50 Bikes for 50 Kids

As the collective teamwork, smiles and elbow grease settle, we'd like to extend a huge thank you to the 56 businesses, organizations and individuals that donated to our fifth annual 50 Bikes for 50 Kids. In the words of one bike recipient: "I was surprised I was able to do this. Now I know how my bike was made and how it works."

We would like to extend a special thank you to the Natomas Bike Shop for supporting our event again this year. Each year John Buchanan and his staff provide invaluable support to this event. The shop contributes a large financial donation, mechanics attend the event to oversee the building process and Scott Meyer leads all the volunteer trainings prior to the event.

Thanks to the 924 total hours of dedication put forth, our community has helped youth build confidence, a community-minded mentality and a new way to embark on their path to independence and a sustainable future.
