Another Successful 50 Bikes for 50 Kids The tires have been mounted, handlebars secured and riders have "ridden into the sunset," as one recipient so eloquently stated. 50 Bikes for 50 Kids 2018 was another successful exhibition of volunteerism, community and character. This event creates an atmosphere of learning to hopefully foster a life-long love for bikes. We'd like to extend a huge thank you to the businesses, organizations and individuals that make that possible. Special thank you to the Natomas Bike Shop for supporting our event again this year. Each year John Buchanan and his staff provides invaluable support to this day. The shop contributes a large financial donation, mechanics attend the event to oversee the building process and Scott Meyer leads all the volunteer trainings prior to the event. With a total of 936 volunteer hours, our community has helped youth build confidence, a community-minded mentality and a new way to embark on their path to independence and a sustainable future. |

Thanks to Those Who Opened Their Wallets and Hearts The North Natomas TMA would like to thank all the businesses, organizations, and individuals that donated to 50 Bikes for 50 Kids. Thanks to their donations, 50 kids not only received a great new bicycle, but an experience that is sure to have a positive influence on their lives from this day forward.

Art Project Complete! Volunteers, mechanics, bike recipients, families, friends and staff all took some time during the event to paint a square that would complete a mural of the 50 Bikes for 50 Kids logo. Thanks to the many hours donated by Heather Higgins, an Art teacher at NP3, that mural is complete. Great job to all! Can you find your square? |
