How High Temps Affect the Flyer Shuttle

High temperatures can affect operations of the Flyer Shuttle. We advise all riders to be aware of adjustments made during the summer season.

Starting this afternoon, Sacramento Regional Transit big buses and smaller ^aEURoeneighborhood shuttles^aEUR will be used, instead of our regular Flyer Shuttles. This will continue for any afternoon that temperatures are forecast to reach at least 95 degrees, or if we are experiencing A/C malfunctions.

BE ALERT and look for your route displayed on approaching buses while waiting at your stop.

**On August 1, new vehicles will arrive and A/C should no longer be an issue.**

High temperatures can also contribute to unhealthy air quality. Spare the Air Days are announced when the AQI for ground-level ozone pollution is forecast to reach 126 or above.

Sign up for Spare the Air Alerts and ride the Flyer Shuttle for free when a Spare the Air Day is announced. Spare the Air Days are determined by 1 p.m. the day prior.

Tomorrow, June 13, will be a Spare the Air Day.
